As the very happy owner of a Renault Fluence ZE from Better Place and after conducting dozens of battery switches, from the customer standpoint I can assure you that not only is it the right way to go, it would be a dream for any auto OEM/infrastructure company to develop a similar system. I really cannot understand how anyone cannot see the benefits of supporting/demanding a 5 minute battery switch for their EV over that of a a 30 minute “Quick” charge (particularly in light of the havoc this reeks with the battery).

Battery Switch is popular for commercial vehicles(bus,trucks) other than for cars.This was proven in China in which BP has been working with some JV car manufactures for 3 years .Looks BP did a wrong position from the beginning.

Ik ben reeds eigenaar van de Fluence z.e. productie model: 13 cm langer dan de test uitvoering waar u in reed. Daardoor een bagage ruimte over van 420 lt. Actieradius van 135 km, topsnelheid ook 135km. Laadbeurt van 6 uur (kan niet snelladen) kosten a €4!. Dit zijn de werkelijke cijfers na enkele maanden rijden (met groot plezier en zonder negatieve ervaringen tot nu toe)!

The Prius c from the U.S. is the same as the Aqua in other countries. The Yaris Hybrid is somewhat different — nicer dash, different taillights, etc. — looks like a very nice car and I wish we had it as a choice here in the U.S. as well!
